• Academia de Español Antigüeña makes a casting of lots with the students to give a free trip to a destination like Tikal, Atitlán, Río Dulce, Cobán, Panajachel, Chichicastenango, Monterrico Beach, Volcanoes and many other places to a student every week.

• Video Movies and documentaries about Guatemala (customs & habits, folklore, history)
• Spanish Language games to improve your Spanish
• Additional group classes Tuesday and Thursdays
• Preparation of traditional Guatemalan meals and candies (e.g. How to make tortillas)
• Trips to indigenous villages
• Tours to coffee and macadamia nut plantations
• Tours to a organic macadamia farm where information is given in English or Spanish about this ecological project.
• Tours to museums
• Tours to silver and jade factories
• Cultural Events
• Exercises with songs in Spanish
• Bicycle rides to the villages around Antigua watching the nice views of villages
• Merengue and salsa dance classes.
• Introduction into typical woven crafts, and make your own craft in one hour
• Introduction to the Mayan ceremonies
• Visits to museums, churches and tourist sites, guided by spanish teacher; you will also have the opportunity to consult him anything about your trip and stay in Guatemala
• Bicycles are available for you to explore the city and surrounding sights. All students have the opportunity to have a bicycle free of charge to explore the surroundings of Antigua, to see beautiful views and sunrises or just for transportation during their stay in Antigua.

Note: All activities are paid by the School, there are not hidden prices!. Your teachers can be included in these activities.

All activities and learning materials are provided by the school free of charge. There are some other interesting places to visit in Guatemala, if you would like to visit these sites, there is an extra charge for it.

Antigua is a small city located in the Guatemala highlands at 5000 feet, (1500mt), and dates from the Spanish colonial era. It is nestled in a valley surrounded by lush mountains and three extinct volcanoes, creating an incredible panoramic view.
